Job Description: Corporate Strategy Associate Internship
This paid, 10-week summer internship (May/June – August 2025) within Cargill’s Corporate Strategy group offers high-impact experience working on projects sponsored by Cargill’s Executive Team and senior leaders. Interns will act as internal consultants, contributing to the company’s strategic direction and driving profitable growth in the food and agriculture industry. The work will involve addressing global issues such as food security, resource scarcity, and climate change, as well as analyzing market trends and new technologies.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Problem-solving: Developing and testing hypotheses, gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and creating feasible solutions.
• Project management: Planning and structuring work, collaborating with team leaders, and managing cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
• Communication: Developing compelling written and verbal communications, including executive presentations with clear recommendations and insights.
• Market analysis: Evaluating market entry opportunities, developing new business models, and defining long-term corporate strategy.
• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborating with business partners and leading interviews with market experts and customers to gain insights.
• Financial modeling: Performing financial assessments and forecasting business performance using Excel.
Qualifications:
• Required: Pursuing an MBA with an anticipated graduation date in 2026 or 2027; 2+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting (strategy and transformation); ability to complete the 10-week internship in Minnesota; demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong business acumen; proficiency in Excel modeling and data analysis; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with PowerPoint; demonstrated team and project leadership skills; high sense of accountability.
• Preferred: Ability to navigate complex organizations; ability to travel (up to 20%); demonstrated track record of driving measurable outcomes.

The position is based in Wayzata, MN, with a hybrid work model requiring regular in-office time.
