Corporate Strategy Associate Internship

This internship is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and learn from the best at Cargill. You’ll be working on high-priority projects and initiatives sponsored by Cargill’s Executive Team and other senior business leaders, developing high-impact corporate, business, and function strategies.

As a Corporate Strategy Associate Intern, you’ll:

Work within Cargill’s Corporate Strategy group, providing a chance to make a meaningful impact within the company and the broader Food & Agriculture industry.
Partner with Cargill’s leadership as trusted internal consultants, setting Cargill’s strategic direction and driving sustained, profitable growth in the dynamic and global Food & Agriculture environment.
Think about how to manage the risks and gather the opportunities presented by the biggest global issues facing the world today, including food security, resource scarcity, climate change, global trade flows, and new technologies.
Work on projects that could include evaluating market entry opportunities, developing new business models, or defining Cargill’s long-term corporate strategy in response to emerging industry trends.

Specific responsibilities include:

Written and verbal communications, including storyline development and executive presentation preparation.
Planning and structuring work in support of team leaders and overall project management.
Problem-solving, including developing and testing hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis, and working towards feasible solutions.
Collaboration with business partners to capture information, build consensus for recommendations, etc.
Participation in professional development activities such as training and educational events with senior leaders.
Bringing an objective and external lens to Cargill.

Internship Location: Wayzata, MN (hybrid position with expectations for regular time in the office and remote work options).

Currently pursuings

Required Currently pursuings:

Pursuing an MBA or relevant Master’s degree with anticipated graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
2-4 years of relevant work experience in consulting, strategy, food/agriculture, or other applicable roles.
Ability to complete a 10-week internship in Minnesota for the summer (May/June – August 2025).
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with strong business acumen, especially complex, ambiguous problems requiring integrated application of skills (e.g., finance, marketing, strategy, operations).
Demonstrated team and project leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High sense of accountability, strong will to succeed, and demonstrated desire to learn.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

International business experience.
Bilingual, especially Spanish or Portuguese.
Ability to navigate complex organizations.
Ability to operate with partners across all levels of an organization.
Ability to travel, potentially up to 20% (depending on project needs).
Exposure to, or demonstrated affinity for, Food & Ag or related industries.
