Job Title: Corporate Strategic Planning Internship Development Professional (IDP)

Program Summary:

Cemex is excited to offer current college students an immersive experience through its Corporate Strategic Planning Internship Development Program. This intensive 10-week program, commencing in May of each calendar year, is specifically designed to provide hands-on experience and a deep understanding of Cemex’s operations within critical strategic planning areas. As an Internship Development Professional (IDP), you will gain exposure to various key functions, including:

• Corporate Strategic Planning Initiatives
• Financial Analysis
• Budget & Control
• Business Development

You will also gain valuable insights into stakeholder relationship management, communication strategy development, and Cemex’s global sustainability efforts.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Experience):

As a Cemex IDP, your summer will be rich with opportunities for learning, contributing, and personal growth. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Safety First: Actively learn about and promote Cemex’s core safety protocols, contributing to a safe working environment for all.
• Project-Based Experience: Engage in challenging projects that provide a comprehensive view of Corporate Strategic Planning. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world problems and drive meaningful change.
• Skill Building: Develop both essential technical and critical soft skills through hands-on work and continuous learning opportunities. You will also have the chance to refine your presentation skills by sharing project outcomes with the leadership team.
• Networking and Collaboration: Build valuable connections with peers and seasoned professionals across the organization, gaining a broader industry perspective and establishing a strong professional network.

Qualifications (Who We Are Looking For):

We seek motivated students eager to explore the world of Corporate Strategic Planning. Ideal candidates will have:

• Educational Foundation: Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with at least junior year standing.
• Academic Performance: A GPA of 2.5 or above, with a strong preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the capability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in tools such as Excel and Power BI, coupled with a solid understanding of statistics and financial modeling.
• Team Collaboration: Enjoyment of both independent work and teamwork, embodying a self-driven and innovative mindset.

Working Conditions:

• Work Schedule: This is an on-site internship with a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday.
• Environment: Primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to varying conditions as needed, including outdoor settings.
