This Corporate Paralegal role supports the legal team at McKinley Paper and Packaging. McKinley Paper and Packaging is a company specializing in paper and packaging solutions. The individual in this position will work closely with attorneys across all legal business matters, ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of the company’s legal affairs. This role is crucial for managing and organizing essential legal documentation and processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Focus on legal business matters, including contracts, research, and acquisitions.
• Conduct extensive document review and prepare various legal documents based on specifications and requests.
• Manage legal discovery processes and handle related paperwork.
• Monitor changes to relevant laws, guidelines, or regulations and submit reports on pertinent legislative updates.
• Utilize existing files and a variety of legal research resources to develop information for business purposes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with an Associate degree in paralegal studies or a Paralegal certificate is required.
• Experience: Extensive experience required in document review, preparation, managing discovery, drafting legal documents, and paperwork management. Demonstrated ability to multi-task several assignments effectively under tight deadlines is essential.
• Skills: Excellent legal research abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel), and strong communication and organization skills.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s degree is preferred. National paralegal certification, such as those offered by NALA or AACP, is a plus. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
