Investment Banking Analyst (Capital Structure Advisory) | Raymond James

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Process: Actively participate in every phase of the transaction process, including leading drafting sessions, developing new business proposals, preparing documents related to the public and private issuance of stock, and conducting thorough due diligence meetings.
• Financial Analysis and Modeling: Develop comprehensive company forecasts, valuations, and meticulously evaluate merger and acquisition scenarios. This includes contributing to, developing, and amending investment models to provide essential input to senior colleagues and help manage assigned portfolios.
• Research and Strategic Advisory: Conduct thorough research using primary data sources, selecting critical information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends, and apply this knowledge to advise managers on a wide variety of existing financial procedures and precedents.
• Regulatory and Internal Policy Compliance: Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company achieves full compliance with applicable rules and regulations, maintaining good financial practice and organizational standards.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective working relationships within the internal client organization and with external clients, managing smaller client accounts directly while supporting senior colleagues in cultivating and managing relationships with larger key clients, and resolving complex queries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is required for this role.
• Experience: Possess 13 months to 3 years of general work experience, demonstrating the capability to act independently and provide technical guidance when necessary.
• Skills: Expertise in analyzing data trends from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations, developing and interpreting financial policies and procedures for regulatory compliance, managing client accounts to optimize benefits, and the ability to analyze potential solutions and create compelling recommendations by building business cases.
