• Mission: To accelerate early-career talent development in strategic finance, M&A, and Corporate Development by providing hands-on experience across the full deal lifecycle and contributing meaningfully to the company’s long-term direction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Analysis: Support comprehensive market scans, competitive assessments, and strategic landscape reviews, developing key insights that directly inform the company’s portfolio strategy and investment priorities.
• M&A Execution: Assist in detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis, while participating in extensive due diligence across technical, commercial, and operational domains, and supporting deal structuring, documentation, and internal approvals.
• Capital Solutions: Gain exposure to Baker Hughes’ investment arm by supporting the evaluation of various financing solutions and understanding how the team deploys equity, debt, leases, and guarantees across the energy value chain, including investments in O&G, LNG, geothermal, and emerging technologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse product lines, finance, legal, technology, and operations teams, helping to align critical stakeholders around deal rationale, potential risks, and integration plans.
• Executive Communication: Help prepare high-impact materials for senior leadership, translating complex analytical findings into crisp, actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A recent graduate of the Baker Hughes ASPIRE program or an equivalent internal or external early-career candidate, holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrable early-career experience with a meaningful interest in strategy, M&A, or corporate finance, comfortable navigating fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
• Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, clear communication to effectively synthesize complex information into understandable insights, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism.
• Bonus: A collaborative team player with a proactive bias for action, possessing innate curiosity and analytical thinking crucial for complex M&A and corporate development challenges.
