## About Extern
Extern is a company revolutionizing the way college students gain work experience. They created the Externship, a new work experience model that addresses the challenges of underemployment and rising education costs. Extern utilizes software and machine learning to streamline recruitment, training, student support, and assessment processes for companies, making it easier for them to offer these valuable experiences.
Extern has facilitated over 30,000 multi-week Externships in partnership with leading companies such as PwC, AT&T, Home Depot, Coca-Cola, HSBC, and more. They are addressing the growing gap between the skills needed for entry-level jobs and the experience graduates possess, with nearly 40% of such jobs requiring 3+ years of experience.
