Job Description (Corporate Development and Strategy Intern)

This internship position is within InterDigital’s Corporate Development and Strategy team. The intern will support corporate development activities and will be part of a fast-paced team handling a wide range of projects.

Job Summary:
The intern’s day-to-day activities will include company and market research, financial modeling and analysis, and transactional support. Projects may also involve assisting the team with proactive efforts through research and analysis of corporate, financial, patent, and legal information. The ideal candidate is expected to work independently, define project requirements based on stated goals, and develop creative solutions using available technology and tools.

Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the Corporate Development and Strategy team on various projects related to Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Strategic Intelligence, and Corporate Strategy. Key responsibilities include:
Partnership and new product research.
Sourcing and presentation of potential M&A opportunities.
Customer/market analysis.
Preparation of quarterly board update materials.
• Participating in strategy and analytics projects with other InterDigital departments as needed.
• Opportunity to take ownership of certain aspects of high-impact projects, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders including business unit leads and executive management.
• Potential to present portions of work to senior leaders and executive management.

Candidates should possess the following attributes and educational background:
Adaptability: Ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills to generate innovative ideas, identify trends, and communicate business impact to internal stakeholders.
Active Learner: Critical ability and appetite to learn quickly to expand knowledge and build skill sets.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for creative problem-solving and process improvement.
• Currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year of a Bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
