Department: Corporate Communications
The Corporate Communications team at UFC is at the heart of shaping and sharing the organization’s voice, both internally and externally. This dynamic department is crucial for supporting executive messaging, organizational announcements, and comprehensive employee communications, ensuring that all information is clear, timely, and perfectly aligned with company priorities. By fostering strong partnerships with leadership and teams across the organization, Corporate Communications drives transparency, consistency, and trust. This function is absolutely essential to how UFC communicates its mission, initiatives, and impact to employees, partners, media, and the broader public.

Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the team across a variety of administrative and project-based tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing essential administrative and project support to the Corporate Communications team for both daily operations and long-term initiatives.
  • Assisting with the drafting of press releases to effectively promote UFC initiatives and share organizational updates.
  • Monitoring and meticulously tracking media coverage relevant to UFC.
  • Conducting in-depth research on current industry events and historical business topics to inform and support strategic communications planning.
  • Assisting with the drafting of impactful internal, company-wide communications.
  • Supporting the creation of comprehensive briefing materials for UFC executives, particularly for public speaking opportunities and media interviews.
  • Assisting the Corporate Communications team in researching and identifying potential speaking engagements and prestigious industry awards for UFC and its executives.
  • Supporting the drafting and submission of materials for various industry awards.
  • Assisting with initiatives related to UFC’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications:
We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a related field such as Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications, or a similar discipline, or within six months of graduation.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient writing and editing skills, demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in creating compelling stories, messaging, and communication materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Program Details:
Our internship program offers unparalleled opportunities across IMG, On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), TKO Corporate, UFC, and WWE. Locations for internships include New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Stamford, CT. All internships are designed to be in-office and in-person, unless explicitly noted otherwise.

In addition to gaining invaluable hands-on experience and significant exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns will participate in a robust program that includes:

  • Welcome and farewell sessions.
  • A dynamic speaker series featuring company leaders.
  • Comprehensive career training workshops addressing essential skills such as LinkedIn profile enhancement, resume building, interviewing techniques, and professional networking.

Work Schedule: Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location.

Important Dates:

  • February 2nd: Internships are posted to our career sites.
  • February 28th: Applications will be accepted through this date.
  • March 1st to March 27th: Recruiters will contact selected candidates and begin the interview process.
  • March 30th to April 17th: Offers will be extended to selected candidates.
  • May 18th: Program start date.
  • The program will be 12 weeks in length, running from May 18th through August 7th.

Our selection process consists of four distinct steps, designed to help us get to know you:

  1. Tell us your story: In addition to your application and resume, please attach a separate Word document (maximum 300 words) sharing why you are interested in this specific role. What unique perspectives, abilities, and qualities would you bring? What do you hope to learn during your internship?
  2. Video Interview with a Recruiter: If selected for the next round, you will be contacted by the recruiting team to schedule a 30-minute video interview.
  3. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager: If you successfully move forward, you will meet with the hiring manager and potentially 1-2 additional team members for a further video interview.
  4. Offer or Decline: If you are selected for the position, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If you have not been selected, a recruiter will reach out to inform you.

Eligibility:

  • Our program is specifically designed for rising juniors, rising seniors, and those within six months of graduation from an undergraduate university, unless otherwise noted for specific roles.

We offer paid internships; rates vary based on location and typically align with local required minimums, varying by country.
