Program Description
The College Internship Program, offered at the Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, Florida, is designed to last 3-6 months, depending on availability and departmental needs. Interns work a full-time schedule and receive hourly pay. The program includes:
• Immersion program offering work experience in a specific department.
• Comprehensive onboarding.
• Participation in operational duties within the assigned department.
• eLearning opportunities.
• Virtual meetings with site and company leaders.
Corporate College Internship – Resort Operations
Interns in this department will support business operations in Corporate Office departments such as Recreation/Activities, Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Quality Assurance and gain an understanding of general Resort Operations from a corporate perspective. Responsibilities include project meetings, creating documents, and sending communication to property leaders.
Internship Summary
Interns will learn and perform job duties within their assigned department and may be involved in department projects. They will also learn about factors driving Guest Satisfaction and Associate Engagement and have opportunities to contribute to these matters. Interns will be introduced to and have the opportunity to demonstrate the company’s values and core beliefs. Successful interns will be given high consideration for future career opportunities with Marriott Vacation Club.
Job Requirements
• Education: Candidates should be pursuing a college degree at any level (Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior). A degree in Hospitality or Business Management is preferred, but candidates with undecided majors may be considered.
• Experience: Prior Hospitality experience is preferred. Past Interns interested in completing an additional internship will be considered first; previous performance ratings will be taken into consideration. Strong Communication Skills
• Standards of Dress & Grooming: Corporate Interns must adhere to Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation Policy HR-EMP-19 Standards of Appearance, which includes business-appropriate attire and adherence to specific guidelines.
