Job Description: Corporate Accounting Intern
Chemours is seeking a Corporate Accounting Intern to join its Corporate Controllership team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience within a global chemical company, with successful interns typically being reconsidered for future opportunities within the company.
Reporting Structure:
The Corporate Accounting Intern will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
Location:
The position is located in Wilmington, DE, with a Hybrid work model available.
Hours and Term:
The role offers a full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to the candidate’s needs. It is a 5-month assignment scheduled to take place between August and December 2025.
Role Overview and Responsibilities:
The Corporate Accounting Intern will provide support to each of Chemours’ corporate controllership teams, which include:
• Consolidations
• Internal Reporting
• External Reporting
• Controls and Compliance
• Technical Accounting
The intern will be involved in a wide array of activities within the accounting function, with a primary focus on data gathering, financial tie-outs, and quality control data reviews.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conducting accounting research regarding technical matters.
• Supporting ad hoc compliance and controls quality reviews and monitoring.
• Collecting and analyzing data associated with internal or external reporting, including financial tie-outs.
• Assisting in quarterly SEC filings.
• Ad-hoc projects which may involve:
• Assisting with organizing data related to reporting.
• Managing internal management representation tracking.
• Assisting with SOX documentation.
• Preparing calculations to support various accounting analyses and entries.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at the time of the assignment.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are considered advantageous:
• 3.2 GPA or above.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in accounting or auditing.
• Experience with One Stream EPM software and/or SAP ERP software.
• Familiarity with data analytics software (e.g., Power BI).
