Job Description: Copywriter Intern
Ogilvy seeks interns who are insatiably curious, observant, creative problem-solvers, and “dot connectors.” Interns will be briefed on real client projects, competing with ideas and collaborating across all team levels. The role is a junior-level position requiring immediate contribution and demonstrable skill. Project load depends on ongoing client work.
What We’re Looking For:
• A passion for writing and reading, with a strong understanding of good writing.
• Ability to conceptualize big ideas while mastering the execution, craft, and nuances of various copywriting forms.
• Recognition that all mediums are viable; only bad writing is a limitation.
• A portfolio showcasing versatility across diverse categories (e.g., candles, tech, soda, insurance), demonstrating adaptability in voice, tone, and target audience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Learning and adapting to the fast-paced agency environment and deadlines.
• Developing and presenting conceptual ideas.
• Producing a wide range of copy, including headlines, taglines, social media posts, video scripts, and manifestos.

• Work Setting: Hybrid/In-office
• Duration: Full-time, paid internship (June to August)
• Compensation: $17-$22 USD/hour (varies based on location, experience, and qualifications)
• Conversion Rate: Historically, 70% of interns receive full-time or freelance offers.
