About The Role
As a Control System Platforms & Standards Intern, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, actively contributing to the development of technical products and systems vital to Westinghouse’s operations.
- Reporting To: Control & Information System Engineering Manager
- Location: Cranberry, PA
- Position Type: Paid, Full-Time, Hybrid Summer Internship
Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and test I&C Plant Systems utilized in Nuclear Power Generation Stations applications.
- Implement I&C hardware and software designs to rigorously meet specified design requirements.
- Develop comprehensive design documents, test plans, and procedures to validate that designs effectively meet all specifications and requirements.
- Create and issue Field Change Notices to sites, providing crucial support for hardware and software modifications.
- Resolve technical issues that may arise throughout the system design, implementation, and site commissioning/startup phases.
- Support manufacturing operations to facilitate the procurement, manufacturing process, testing, and integration of I&C Plant Systems during Software In-Loop (SIL) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Support field operations during critical site commissioning and startup activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain Management, manufacturing, outside vendors, and other departments impacted by I&C Plant systems design & development.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Must have successfully completed your Sophomore year of college.
Compensation Transparency
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
