• Mission: This person will learn and support the administration of Department of Defense contracts, ensuring organization, compliance, and accurate execution from award through closeout.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn: Develop a strong understanding of Veilant’s contracts portfolio, administration processes, tools, workflows, and documentation standards.
• Maintain: Support the organization and maintenance of accurate contract files, records, and key compliance documentation.
• Assist: Help with contract setup, tracking, reporting, modifications, task orders, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Collaborate: Support communication and build relationships between contracts, programs, finance, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
• Comply: Learn and apply FAR, DFARS, and DOD compliance expectations, ensuring documentation aligns with internal processes and government requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Pre-Law, Finance, Government, Public Administration, or a related field. Strong interest in building a career in government contracting or contracts management.
• Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; Ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and multiple priorities with accuracy; Professional judgment, discretion, and willingness to learn compliance-driven processes.
• Bonus: Internship, coursework, or professional exposure related to contracts, business operations, legal administration, procurement, finance, or government programs; Active Secret clearance or higher; Bachelor’s degree in Contract Management or a closely related discipline; NCMA certification, such as CPCM or CFCM, or interest in pursuing certification.
