About Honcho

Honcho is the country’s largest and most valuable amateur pickleball community. About the Job: Content Creator Internship (6-Week Summer Program)

This is a 6-week summer internship program designed for creative, social-media-savvy college students (ages 18–22). The internship offers a chance to gain real-world marketing experience, grow a personal brand, and contribute to a team that is building something special within the amateur pickleball community.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):
The role involves dynamic daily tasks, primarily focused on capturing and creating engaging content. Expect to:
Film and edit short-form content (for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories) both on-site at Honcho events and independently.
Capture authentic, community-driven moments that highlight players, venues, and the overall vibe of Honcho events.
Transform trending sounds and moments into compelling pickleball-related content.
• Optionally, be a face of Honcho content by appearing on-camera, or alternatively, focus on shooting and editing from behind the scenes.
• Actively brainstorm and pitch new content ideas on a weekly basis.
Participate in creative calls and collaborate effectively with Honcho’s marketing and event teams.
• Leverage your own network (if applicable) to share content and amplify reach.

Who They Are Looking For (Who You Are):
Honcho seeks individuals driven by passion, creativity, and hustle, rather than extensive prior experience. Ideal candidates will:
• Be a current college student between 18 and 22 years old.
• Be highly active on TikTok and/or Instagram, possessing a strong understanding of current trends, formats, and platform tones.
• Demonstrate a passion for sports, community, storytelling, or event culture.
• Have prior experience creating social-first video content, including familiarity with editing apps such as CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Rush.
• Be energized by live events, interacting with people, and capturing moments in real-time.
• Enjoy being on-camera or filming/directing others.
• Desire to grow their personal brand and portfolio in a meaningful way.
• Be organized, creative, and capable of translating ideas into actionable content.

Details:
Duration: 6 weeks.
Time Commitment: Approximately 7-12 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
Location: Remote, specifically in select cities where Honcho has a presence (across 70+ cities).
Tools: Honcho will provide brand guidelines and editing support. Interns are expected to use their own phone, editing apps, and creativity.
