Responsibilities

  • Engage in field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimating, and supervision of field activities.
  • Perform essential engineering tasks utilizing standard techniques and address minor technical challenges that arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate records pertaining to job progress, costs, and material usage.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of entire jobs or specific job segments.
  • Investigate problems and reported incidents, identifying and recommending appropriate solutions or alternatives.
  • Review project plans and specifications to accurately determine material requirements (quantities and qualities) and material pricing.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate and expedite the timely delivery of materials.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel or relocate as needed for project assignments.
  • Availability to work full-time during the summer (approximately May-August).
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site across a wide range of climates and environments.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and a proactive approach.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, committed to doing what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to actively contribute to ensuring a hazard-free environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player with the capability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Possess strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
  • Ability to work productively and meet deadlines timely.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others, both individually and in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other company policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Overtime and weekends may be required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.

Base Compensation: $20.00/hr – $24.50/hr
