Job Description: Construction Management Internship

This 8-week, part-time internship (up to 30 hours/week) offers a comprehensive experience in construction management, encompassing both project management and field operations. Interns will rotate through both departments, gaining exposure to the entire project lifecycle – from preconstruction to project closeout.

Responsibilities include:

Project Management Support: Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, tracking materials, managing files, preparing progress updates and reports for clients, managing documents (submittals, RFIs, change orders), assisting with bid package preparation and subcontractor bid evaluation.
Preconstruction Assistance: Reviewing proposals, specifications, and drawings; conducting material takeoffs; preparing cost estimates; attending team meetings and client job walks.
Field Support: Collaborating with superintendents and field teams on project layout, construction drawings, trade coordination, site condition verification, safety, and quality control inspections.
Professional Development: Active participation in social and networking events, weekly training, and educational classes.

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in construction, engineering, or business from an accredited university.
• Prior industry internships, volunteer work, or relevant work experience is a plus.
• Passion for the construction and general contracting industry.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour. Interns are considered part-time temporary employees and are not eligible for company healthcare benefits.
