About the Construction Internship Program

The construction internship at Starlight Homes is meticulously designed to introduce interns to the basic principles of project management on a residential construction site. The program features a structured on-boarding process followed by the practical application of learned concepts in a supervised environment. As a Construction Intern, you will perform tasks as directed by the Project Manager, gaining invaluable familiarity with:

• The comprehensive home-building process.
• Effective scheduling techniques.
• Robust quality control measures.
• Efficient payment control procedures.
• Starlight Homes’ approach to ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Intern, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the home-building process and customer experience:

• Successfully complete assigned training tasks within specified deadlines.
• Assist the Field Manager in the daily management of the construction process and coordination with all subcontractors.
• Contribute to exceptional customer service by participating in routine customer care appointments.
• Effectively communicate with homebuyers, on-site Sales Consultants/Associates, and support personnel as required.
• Manage assigned construction tasks to ensure the delivery of a quality home, completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and the Design Center to ensure seamless coordination and effective problem-solving across departments.
• Partner with assigned Sales Consultant/Associate to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Proactively communicate any construction, customer service, or safety issues to the Area Construction Manager, offering constructive suggestions for resolution.
• Assist with ensuring the assigned community is well-maintained, orderly, and visually appealing to potential homebuyers.

Qualifications

To be considered for this internship, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior Year of a four-year Construction Science, Business, Finance Program, or another relatable field.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
• Possess the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
