Conflicts Analyst/Attorney | Greenberg Traurig, LLP

This is a hybrid role at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, located in one of multiple offices. Greenberg Traurig (GT) is a global law firm with locations across 15 countries. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with legal ethics and firm policies by identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest for new business. • Team: Intake Team, reporting to the Conflicts Manager
• Mission: Identify and resolve potential conflicts, business, and General Counsel policy issues for new business.
• Tech Stack: Windows-based software, Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Legal Conflicts: Understand legal conflicts and ethical rules to evaluate conflicts checks and identify potential issues, including GC business and risk policy matters.
• Gather Lateral Attorney Information: Communicate with lateral attorney candidates to obtain complete client and party information for distinguishing portable and non-portable business.
• Administer Conflict Review: Manage the conflicts review process and resolve potential conflicts in accordance with Greenberg Traurig policies.
• Conduct Research: Perform data analysis and research using various electronic databases to support conflict identification and resolution.
• Document and Communicate Findings: Document processes, maintain records of conflicts information, and clearly communicate potential conflict situations to firm attorneys.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor or an advanced graduate degree desired, with core domain knowledge in legal conflicts, related ethical rules, and current developments.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Researcher, or a comparable analytical business role.
• Skills: Outstanding client service, strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bonus: Advanced degree preferably in competitive intelligence, research studies, or a similar field of study.
