Job Description:
This Concept Engineering – Equipment Design Internship is a paid, full-time, 12-week program (June – early September 2025) designed to provide students with valuable work experience in a field of interest within the Starbucks Partner and Customer Solutions team. The internship will be based out of the Seattle Support Center in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
• Design and Validation of Mechanical Concepts: Design and validate mechanical concepts to improve the lives of Starbucks partners and customers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and partners across Starbucks to define problems and develop concepts.
• Problem Solving: Work in a fast-paced environment to explore new ideas and deliver novel solutions to complex problems.
• Rapid Prototyping: Engage in rapid prototyping, CAD modeling, and 3D printing.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Similar CAD Program: Demonstrated expertise in using SolidWorks or a comparable CAD software.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and design practical solutions.
• Prototyping Experience: Familiarity with Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi prototyping techniques.
• User Experience Design Awareness: Understanding of user experience design principles.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
Internship Program Qualifications:
• Active Enrollment: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Full-time Availability: Ability to work full-time from June – early September 2025.
• Eligibility to Work in the US: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
