This is a full-time, hybrid role supporting a leading healthcare technology solutions provider. This position is integral to the smooth operation of our partner’s sales compensation processes. As a Financial Analyst, you will be deeply involved in the design, administration, and execution of compensation plans, directly impacting sales team motivation and the financial health of the organization. Your analytical acumen and collaborative spirit will be essential in navigating complex data, ensuring accurate payouts, and fostering strong relationships across Sales, Finance, and HR. What You’ll Actually Do
• Compensation Planning: Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and HR departments to strategically update and build new annual compensation plan components and establish appropriate sales quotas. This involves understanding business objectives and translating them into effective incentive structures.
• Plan Administration: Take the lead in the annual review cycle, meticulously updating and distributing all official compensation plan documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and proper communication to all stakeholders.
• Financial Operations: Execute all necessary commission-related month-end close activities with precision, which includes the critical task of preparing accurate accrual journal entries to support financial reporting.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, maintain, and diligently administer comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports, detailed calculations, and personalized commission statements, all crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Stakeholder Support & Improvement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the entire Sales team regarding any commission-related inquiries, providing clear explanations and resolutions. Additionally, proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives for process and efficiency improvements within compensation administration.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is suited for an early to mid-career professional with at least two years of dedicated financial analyst experience acquired within an operating company. A specific focus of one to two years within commercial finance or variable compensation is highly desirable.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in presenting complex financial information and insights to executive management teams. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully thriving and contributing effectively within fast-changing environments.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical capabilities and robust problem-solving skills to dissect complex data and identify effective solutions. Complementing these technical abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for seamless collaboration across various functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and HR.
• Bonus: Prior experience gained from working with a publicly traded company is considered a significant advantage for this position.
