Job Description, Detailed
The Community Intern position at Her Campus Media is a remote, year-round internship opportunity available to current college undergraduate students located in the United States. It can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis, offers flexible hours, is unpaid, and is offered for school credit.
Core Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to recruit community members across Her Campus Media’s various brands (Her Campus, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, InfluenceHer Collective, and College Fashionista) to facilitate the growth and expansion of these communities.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Community Recruitment & Strategy:
• Actively recruit community members specifically within Her Campus, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, InfluenceHer Collective, and College Fashionista.
• Conduct research on influencer and college campus trends to inform strategies.
• Brainstorm and develop new recruitment strategies to attract and engage community members.
• Content Creation & Communication:
• Craft compelling copy for newsletters aimed at recruitment and community engagement.
• Create engaging social media content specifically designed for recruitment purposes.
• Event and Experiential Project Support:
• Provide support for various events and experiential projects.
• Assist in sourcing talent leads for events.
• Collaborate on main stage programming, contributing to the planning and execution of key event segments.
• Contribute to enhancing the user experience of events and projects.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
• Current college undergraduate student.
• Demonstrated strong communication, organization, and strategic thinking skills.
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office platforms.
• Possession of a hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient, and creative work ethic.
• A genuine passion for Her Campus Media’s mission.
• A strong interest in community growth, social media content creation, marketing, and project management.
• Being a Her Campus Community Member is preferred.
