Job Description: Community Intern
This role is for a Community Intern who will be instrumental in expanding Her Campus Media’s various communities.
Responsibilities
The Community intern will be responsible for:
• Recruiting community members within Her Campus, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, InfluenceHer Collective, and College Fashionista to foster community growth.
• Conducting research on influencer and college campus trends.
• Brainstorming and developing new recruitment strategies.
• Crafting engaging copy for newsletters.
• Creating recruitment-focused social media content.
• Providing support for events and experiential projects, which includes sourcing talent leads, collaborating on main stage programming, and enhancing user experience.
Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Currently enrolled as a college undergraduate.
• Possess strong communication, organization, and strategic thinking skills.
• Have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office platforms.
• Demonstrate a hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient, and creative work ethic.
• Be passionate about Her Campus Media’s mission.
• Show a strong interest in community growth, social media content creation, marketing, and project management.
• Being a Her Campus Community Member is preferred.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following as part of their application:
• Writing Sample: A writing sample that showcases your personality and engages with pop culture or a current trend. This can be a blog post or an article from a school assignment.
• Social Posts: Two social media posts that demonstrate your ability to edit videos and create engaging, trendy content.
• Resume and Cover Letter: A resume and a cover letter must be submitted with your application.
Additional Information
• Location & Availability: Remote internships are available to current college students located in the United States. They are offered year-round on a full-time or part-time basis.
• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
• Credit & Flexibility: The internship is offered for school credit, and hours are flexible.
• Visa Sponsorship: Her Campus Media does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
