You will be joining the NCF Executive Communications Team as a Communications Intern. This team is looking for a creative, organized, and motivated student to contribute to their communications efforts.

Role Summary
This is an in-person internship designed to provide hands-on experience across various communications disciplines. It serves as perfect preparation for a future role such as a Communications Coordinator, offering practical skills in writing, social media management, press relations, event planning, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
• Write press releases, news stories, and other communication materials, adhering to AP style.
• Plan, schedule, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms.
• Capture photographs and film events, then process and edit digital media to help manage the media library.
• Provide assistance with basic graphic design for both digital and print materials.
• Support the planning and management of events, including programs like the Socratic Stage series.
• Offer hospitality and on-site logistics support during events.
• Assist with website updates, project tracking, and the development of press strategy.
Learning Goals
• Learn to execute a multi-platform social media plan effectively.
• Develop skills in creating professional press materials and digital content using AP style guidelines.
• Understand how to plan and manage communications and events from inception to completion.
• Gain proficiency in processing, organizing, and maintaining a digital media library.
• Develop NACE Communication Competency by learning to effectively share ideas, information, and stories with different audiences and through multiple channels.
• Achieve NACE Teamwork Competency by building and maintaining collaborative relationships while contributing to shared goals in a diverse team.
