Their portfolio includes scripted programming, franchises such as the “Star Trek” universe, award-winning talk shows (both late night and daytime), and a vast library of established intellectual property.

Job Description: Communications Coordinator

This role provides crucial support to a VP of Communications and the Head of Social Media at CBS Studios. The coordinator will be involved in all aspects of publicity and communications for a diverse range of programming (dramas, comedies, daytime, late night, and animation). Responsibilities include:

Press Management: Monitoring, collecting, and distributing daily press clippings for all CBS Studios titles. Responding to and fulfilling press requests within deadlines. Maintaining accurate press contact information and lists.

Publicity & Awards Campaigns: Providing support in the execution of publicity and awards campaigns. This includes tasks such as assisting with talent travel arrangements (scheduling and itinerary creation), and logistical support for key industry events (staffing, coordination, and press materials preparation).

Social Media Support: Assisting the social media team with daily tasks, demonstrating a basic understanding of platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Internal Communications: Supporting internal communications efforts by assisting in the creation and distribution of newsletters (weekly, monthly, etc.) to the wider company.

General Administration: Handling general administrative duties and other day-to-day tasks common in a busy PR office.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of entertainment industry experience (strong internship experience will be considered). Bachelor’s Degree.
Additional Qualifications: Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting; excellent written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of both traditional and social media; professionalism and strong interpersonal skills (comfort interacting with press and talent); meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills; adaptability and good judgment; resourceful self-starter; genuine enthusiasm for publicity.
