About the Role: Commodity Risk Management Intern

Join StoneX as a Commodity Risk Management Intern and gain invaluable real-world experience assisting agricultural businesses in navigating price volatility within global markets. This unique opportunity focuses on understanding how various stakeholders – including producers, grain elevators, processors, and end-users – manage risk across key sectors such as grain, livestock, dairy, and other commodity markets.

You’ll work alongside industry professionals to learn about essential tools and strategies like futures, options, and OTC products, which are crucial for maintaining a competitive and resilient agricultural supply chain. This role is ideal for those passionate about agriculture, markets, and the business decisions that shape the food and commodity industries, offering hands-on exposure to market analysis, client solutions, and impactful risk management practices that directly influence the ag economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Project Support: Assist team members in delivering tailored risk management solutions for clients within the agricultural supply chain.
  • Foundational Knowledge Development: Develop expertise in futures, options, and over-the-counter (OTC) products commonly used across grain, livestock, dairy, and other commodity markets.
  • Market Monitoring: Stay informed on market trends and industry developments impacting agriculture and commodity pricing.
  • Client Service & Collaboration: Provide excellent service to internal and external clients through responsiveness, follow-up, and collaboration with senior team members.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Proactively work with colleagues to analyze market data, prepare reports, and contribute to client presentations.
  • Professionalism: Maintain professionalism and reliability through prompt and regular attendance.

Early Careers Program Requirements:

  • Academic Standing: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program.

  • Availability: Available for an 8 – 10-week program starting in June 2026.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel).
