Job Description:

WSP USA is offering a temporary Commissioning Intern position in their Boston, MA office, scheduled for the Fall 2025 Semester.

Opportunity: The internship provides hands-on work experience and exposure to real projects, working alongside senior staff. Interns will also have access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and career connections through the Developing Professionals Network.
Responsibilities:

• Support various tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Commissioning.
• Assist with project research, fieldwork, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications:

Required:
• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Commissioning or related field.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
Preferred:
• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related Masters or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus

Compensation: The expected salary range is $19.23 – $30.00, depending on experience, education, and location. No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
