Job Type: Part-time, Internship

Location: Atlanta office

This is a paid internship opportunity aimed at providing firsthand experience in the retail real estate industry.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a real estate or business background. Specific qualifications include:
Minimum third-year college student or a recent college graduate with a degree in Real Estate or Business.
• A strong desire to learn.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to be effective at multi-tasking and quickly prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
The intern’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Performing market research and analysis.
Identifying potential clients, generating client lists, and conducting cold calling.
• Participating in the creation of presentations.
• Assisting with maintaining company databases and files.
• Organizing and maintaining physical and digital files and records.
• Performing special projects as needed.
• Assisting prospects in accessing vacant commercial spaces.

Learning Objectives:
This internship offers significant learning opportunities, including:
Understanding business trends, both nationally and locally.
Understanding growth sectors of the market and recognizing consumer/retailer needs.
• Gaining knowledge in Site Intelligence for Tenant Services.
• Learning to apply Client parameters to find solutions.
• Collaborating on projects to create Client Tours.
• Developing intimate knowledge of CoStar, GIS, and Google Earth software.
• Familiarity with lease analysis tools.
• Acquiring basic Real Estate knowledge.
• Developing a working knowledge of retail properties/clientele.
• Conducting market analysis for clients based on target audience/consumers.
• Learning how to “Canvas” (likely referring to direct market surveying or prospecting).
