About the Internship:

Cresa is offering an enriching 8-week internship program, requiring a commitment of 3 days per week. This program is designed to immerse aspiring commercial real estate professionals in the foundational knowledge and practical guidance necessary for a successful career. Interns, whether new or experienced, will gain exposure to “the Cresa Way” through structured training, mentorship with senior brokers or Managing Principals, team involvement, and regular training sessions. Key Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Real Estate Intern with a focus on tenant representation, your responsibilities will include:

  • Transaction Management Support:
    • Actively collaborate with our experienced brokerage team, providing crucial support throughout the transaction lifecycle.
    • Assist in the comprehensive preparation of key transactional documents, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to solicit bids from landlords and Letters of Intent (LOIs) to formalize initial lease terms.
    • Engage in critical financial analysis and market research activities, providing data-driven insights to aid in negotiations and strategic decision-making processes for clients.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling:
    • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data pertinent to commercial leases, including rent schedules, complex lease terms, and occupancy costs.
    • Develop and refine financial models and forecasts that will directly support lease negotiations, client presentations, and strategic planning.
    • Contribute valuable input on pricing strategies and meticulously evaluate the potential financial impacts of various real estate transactions on client portfolios.
  • Exposure to Diverse Service Lines:
    • Participate in projects alongside our Lease Administration team, gaining firsthand insights into lease management, compliance protocols, and administrative best practices.
    • Contribute actively to various Project Management initiatives, assisting in the planning, coordination, and successful execution of real estate projects.
    • Explore the application of data analytics within the commercial real estate context, helping to identify emerging market trends and optimization opportunities crucial for effective site selection processes.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this internship, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as real estate, finance, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and data interpretation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team environment and interacting professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Organizational Acumen: Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
