Role Overview
The Commercial Operations Associate is a dynamic, multi-faceted role critical to the smooth functioning of our commercial processes. This position demands a versatile individual capable of handling a variety of tasks, including the meticulous development of proposals, leading process improvement initiatives, and providing essential sales support. You will serve as a central coordinator, facilitating crucial communication and collaboration between Commercial Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Implementation/Operations teams. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality work across multiple departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the aptitude to create, follow, and clearly explain complex procedures, are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Marketing Support: Contribute significantly to marketing initiatives by developing competitive databases, refining Mitsubishi Power’s internal processes and procedures, conducting in-depth market research, and assisting with forecasting and market pricing strategies.
• Winning Proposal Development: Provide comprehensive proposal support to Regional Sales Managers, Product Line Managers, and other members of the sales and marketing team, ensuring the creation of compelling and competitive proposals.
• Deal Pricing & Approval Coordination: Take a leading role in coordinating the development of deal pricing and spearhead Grants of Authority (GOA) approval meetings, engaging appropriate Mitsubishi Power management to secure necessary endorsements.
• Presentation & Engagement Preparation: Offer crucial support for the organization’s preparedness for presentations, internal meetings, customer visits, and insightful shop tours as required.
• Adaptive Communication Strategy: Continuously evaluate and facilitate the timely adjustment of communication strategies and plans to effectively respond to evolving company objectives, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
• Accurate Sales & Marketing Reporting: Generate precise sales and marketing reports, providing necessary follow-up to ensure that all information presented to management is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
• Financial Policy Adherence: Collaborate closely with financial departments to ensure that corporate policies regarding sales and marketing activities are diligently protected and consistently applied.
• Process Improvement & Special Projects Leadership: Take the initiative to lead assigned process improvement efforts, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions, and effectively manage various special assignments.

• Education: Enrollment in a college or university program with a strong focus on Engineering or Business is required.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with essential software is critical. This includes knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel), Presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), and Word Processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word). Prior experience with Power BI and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is preferred.
