Job Description: Commercial Merchandising Trainee Program
This is a full-time, permanent position within Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business, connecting farming customers with food, feed, and industry. The two-year program is part of Cargill’s Next Generation Graduate Program.
Responsibilities:
• Learn about the agricultural commodities merchandising industry: Gain a deep understanding of how Cargill operates in a rapidly changing economic environment, including local supply and demand factors impacting markets and commercial decisions to generate revenue.
• Commodity Purchase and Negotiation: Initiate and negotiate terms of commodity purchases.
• Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with supply chain and plant operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment of commodity contracts for customers.
• Next Generation Graduate Program Participation: Collaborate with a diverse group of trainees from across EMEA on projects (in-person and virtually), participate in networking sessions with managers and peers, receive individual and group coaching, attend summits with senior leaders and participate in workshops, and build a strong network.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Agricultural studies.
• Fluency in English and Bulgarian.
• General understanding and strong interest in geo-political dynamics and trends.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• High integrity and ethical standards.
• Natural leadership ability, motivation, initiative, risk appetite, and resilience.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-functional teams.
