Job Description:

Capture6 is seeking a Commercial Intern to support their efforts in assessing the feasibility of DAC projects in targeted North American regions. This internship offers the opportunity to engage in research, strategic planning, and business development activities to define the future of DAC deployment. The intern will collaborate with internal teams to shape project business cases and support engagement with partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deep dives into regional industrial makeups.
• Analyze relevant regulatory frameworks, climate policy incentives, and infrastructure investment trends across targeted North American regions.
• Evaluate market drivers for carbon removal, including carbon pricing, offset demand, and clean energy supply.
• Conduct research to identify potential project sites based on energy, water, and land availability.
• Profile key local stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and industrial partners.
• Develop a structured opportunity assessment for the new region.
• Research into regional water markets and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
• Synthesize research into actionable insights for Capture6 leadership through creation of cohesive reports and decks.
• Searching for and assessing public funding opportunities, in service of new and existing pipeline projects.
• Support commercial marketing efforts, including case study development and webinar planning.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in management consulting, business development, climate tech, energy, infrastructure, marketing, or public policy.
• Excellent analytical, research, and synthesis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Interest in climate innovation, sustainability, and systems-level thinking.
• Must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of carbon removal technologies and markets.
• Familiarity with regional energy and water systems or environmental regulatory frameworks in North America.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement or government relations.
