Commercial Analyst Development Program | BMO U.S.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, early-career development program at BMO U.S., located in Atlanta, GA. This role is critical for supporting commercial banking operations by analyzing credit information, making lending recommendations, and maintaining client relationships to ensure sound financial decisions and mitigate risk for the bank. What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Perform financial analysis, assess client creditworthiness, and prepare detailed credit summaries to evaluate financial performance and risk profiles.
• Recommend: Support credit-granting decisions by making recommendations to managers and negotiating loan terms and conditions aligned with client requirements and risk appetite.
• Monitor: Oversee assigned portfolios, analyze metrics, and assess industry trends to identify risks, opportunities, and ensure ongoing compliance and loan performance.
• Collaborate: Build and maintain client relationships in collaboration with Relationship Managers and business partners to ensure long-term financial performance and identify new business opportunities.
• Mitigate: Minimize BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to credit policies, regulatory standards, and operational guidelines, and ensuring accuracy and integrity of loan documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required, suitable for an entry-level development program.
• Experience: Preferred 1–3 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations within a corporate or banking environment.
• Skills: Financial Analysis, Loan Structuring, Credit Risk Assessment, Data analysis tools, Regulatory Compliance.
• Bonus: Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills, if the job is credit qualifiable; specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
