About the Job: Commercial Banking Intern – Business Development Associate Intern
This is an Internship/Co-op role for the Summer/Term 3 work term, located in-person in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, requiring interns to be in the office 4 days a week. The role is 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.75 – $27.00 USD per hour, which may vary based on skills, experience, knowledge, geographic location, and business needs.
Job Description:
The AMCB Summer Intern will support their Line of Business in developing and executing work projects aligned with business goals and objectives. The intern is expected to embody TD’s Shared Commitments and customer-focused culture.
This specific internship is within Commercial Banking, which assists various commercial customers—from small “mom and pop” stores to multi-billion-dollar corporations, including governments and institutions—with managing funds, financing growth, and investing. They achieve this by understanding customer goals and customizing products and services.
The intern will specifically join the ABL-Franchise Finance group. This team comprises experienced bankers who provide financing, treasury management, deposit services, derivatives, and/or wealth management services primarily to McDonald’s franchisees across the US.
As a Business Development Associate Intern, key responsibilities will include:
• Organizing client calls and events.
• Maintaining and enhancing prospect lists within Salesforce.
• Collecting and reviewing financial statements.
• Assisting with deal screens.
By the end of the internship, the intern should gain a comprehensive understanding of client-facing roles and recognize how their work directly benefits business owners.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• Education: Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in business-related disciplines. Anticipated graduation between December 2026 – June 2027 is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to take initiative and demonstrate accountability for actions.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Work Authorization: Must be permanently work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Physical Requirements: The role primarily involves continuous sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, concentrating for long periods, applying common sense to problems, and continuous reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and basic arithmetic. Occasional domestic travel, standing, walking, lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, and reaching are also noted.
