Job Description:

This is a dual job description; it seems CFSI seeks a Commercial Banking Apprentice and a High School Apprentice.

Commercial Banking Apprentice:

This entry-level position within the Commercial Banking team provides hands-on experience in Commercial Banking. The apprentice will support the team’s daily operations and gain knowledge of various Commercial Banking functions, including credit department tasks, customer interactions, treasury management, and other initiatives.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the Commercial Banking team in departments like Middle Market Banking, Business Banking, Treasury Management, and the Credit Department.
• Participating in sales meetings, customer calls, and prospect calls.
• Assisting with portfolio maintenance for the Middle Market banking team.
• Supporting the Treasury Management team with activities related to Treasury Management functions (e.g., preparing ACH documents, developing account management strategies).
• Assisting the Credit Department with financial statement spreads and analysis.
• Working with commercial banking coordinators and shadowing them.
• Supporting the Banking team with ad hoc requests and projects.

High School Apprentice:

CFSI is seeking a motivated high school student (junior or senior preferred) for an apprenticeship. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of banking, professional skill development, and the opportunity to complete a meaningful project.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily banking operations (customer service, data entry, administrative tasks).
• Shadowing experienced bank staff to learn about different roles and functions.
• Participating in training sessions on banking products, services, and regulations.
• Supporting the team in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Conducting research and gathering data for a final project.
• Collaborating with team members to develop and implement the project.
• Presenting the completed project to bank management.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications for the High School Apprentice:

• Currently enrolled in high school (junior or senior preferred).
• Strong interest in finance, banking, or business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range is USD $16.00 – $19.67 per hour. The final rate is commensurate with experience, with the potential for an annual merit increase.
