The program offers a flexible schedule designed to accommodate your academic life. Interns are encouraged to get inspired at local and national recognition events, earn access to leadership development programs, and collaborate with experts across the business. Northwestern Mutual fosters a culture rich in diverse resources, ensuring both personal and professional growth. High-performing eligible students may also have the opportunity to interview for a full-time Financial Representative or Advisor role upon graduation.

  • Campus Involvement: Highly involved in campus activities, showcasing leadership, teamwork, or organizational skills (e.g., leader in student organizations, athlete, student government member).
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to balance academic and professional commitments effectively.
  • Financial Interest: A keen interest in financial literacy and the application of financial planning tools.
  • Business Acumen: Exhibiting business savvy and a strong desire to enhance critical thinking abilities.

This program offers a competitive compensation structure that rewards performance and supports professional development:

  • Performance-based Earnings: Compensation is primarily driven by performance-based earnings and revenue generated.
  • Learning and Development Incentives: Receive incentives of up to $1000 per month, which are separate from earned commissions.
  • Productivity Bonuses: Opportunities to earn additional bonuses based on productivity and goal achievement.
  • Licensing Support: Comprehensive support for obtaining necessary insurance licenses (Life, Health, Disability Income, Long Term Care).
  • Registration Support: Support for SIE, Series 6, and Series 63 registrations, contingent upon eligibility.

Note on Salary Range: The provided salary range of USD $500.00 – USD $1,000.00 /Yr. appears to refer to the Learning and Development Incentives, which are explicitly stated as being “up to $1000/month.” This discrepancy regarding the timeframe (yearly vs. monthly) should be clarified with the recruiter.
