Key Responsibilities:

The internship program is designed to mirror a full-time Financial Representative career, allowing you to:

  • Learn to Prospect and Network: Develop essential skills to build your business and client base.
  • Formulate Business Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive business strategy.
  • Client Engagement: Call on potential clients, set meetings, and understand their financial goals.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare personalized financial plans and offer useful recommendations.
  • Software Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with proprietary financial planning software platforms.
  • Ongoing Development: Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
  • Licensing: Receive support and training to obtain Risk Product State Licensing (Life, Accident, and Health).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Performance-Based Earnings: Income is based on individual production and revenue generated.
  • Learning & Development Incentives: Up to $1000/month (not inclusive of earned commissions).
  • Productivity Bonuses: Additional bonuses based on productivity.
  • Licensing Support: Support for insurance licensing (life, health, disability insurance, long-term care).
  • Registration Support: Support for SIE, Series 6, and Series 63 registrations (eligibility required).
  • Independent Contractor Status: College Financial Representatives are considered independent contractors for income tax purposes and “statutory employees” for Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) tax purposes. Income is based on production.
