About the Job: College Financial Representative Internship

This internship offers students the opportunity to build a financial planning practice from the ground up, with guidance, connection, and a supportive framework. Interns will gain exposure to the financial industry, develop a professional network, and learn how to help people achieve financial freedom. This is a year-round internship program, that starts in January/May 2026 dependent on your availability.
Location: Multiple office locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Must be local to one of the following locations:
• Minnesota: Golden Valley, Mankato, Mendota Heights, Woodbury
• Wisconsin: Eau Claire, La Crosse, Wausau
Target Audience: Open to all majors, but especially suited for juniors and seniors.

Responsibilities:

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base.
• Develop and execute a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
• Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
• Receive Risk Product State Licensing: Life, Accident, and Health
• Build life skills that create future career opportunities

Qualifications:

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc.).
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Performance-based earnings and revenue (commissions).
• Weekly incentives based on specific tasks.
• Learning and Development Incentives (up to $1,000/month, not inclusive of earned commissions)

Earning Potential: On average, an intern in our office is expected to earn about $7,000-10,000 for the summer.
