Northwestern Mutual’s College Financial Representative internship offers a comprehensive framework for building an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. This program allows students from diverse academic backgrounds to begin their careers in financial planning by leveraging local and nationwide experts and exclusive financial products. Participants will have the opportunity to build confidence, develop a professional network, and empower individuals to achieve financial freedom. Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to prospect and network to build a personal business and client base.
- Develop and execute on a strategic business plan.
- Engage with potential clients, conducting meetings to understand and address their financial goals.
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans and offer tailored recommendations.
- Gain hands-on experience with proprietary financial planning software platforms.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Work towards obtaining Risk Product State Licensing (Life, Accident, and Health).
- Cultivate essential life skills applicable to future career opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student (Juniors and Seniors preferred).

- Exhibit excellent time-management skills.
- Show a genuine interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- Display business savvy and a desire to enhance critical thinking abilities.

Salary Range: USD $500.00 – USD $1,000.00 /Yr.

If offered to apply for approval of an intern contract to become a Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representative, a national criminal background check is required.
