Job Description:
This is a part-time College Engineering Student position through the FAU Program at NextEra Energy, specifically within Florida Power & Light Company, located in Boca Raton, FL. The role is designed for Engineering students at Florida Atlantic University.
As a College Engineering Student, you will be responsible for routine engineering assignments that involve basic engineering techniques. You will apply practical applications of engineering principles, practices, and procedures while working under close supervision with detailed instructions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing data analysis and basic engineering tasks for the completion of small projects.
• Performing basic engineering calculations required for simple designs.
• Collecting and evaluating data to recommend a course of action.
• Assisting more experienced engineers in the completion of large, complex projects.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Grad/ GED
• Enrolled in Bachelor of Engineering Program at designated university
• Junior year or higher program status
• Cumulative 3.00 GPA or higher
