Job Description:
This is a PRN (as needed) Coach position within Sanford Sports, located at the Fieldhouse Building in Sioux Falls, SD. The starting rate is $15 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to Sanford Sports operations and processes as a coach, helping athletes improve athletic performance.
• Provide athletic development services for all ages, sport-specific skill instruction, and support orthopedic/sports medicine initiatives and sports science research.
• Collaborate with Sanford Sports leadership, coaches, and team members.
• Enhance personal knowledge and skills to support healthy communities with athletic opportunities.
• Assist in project completion, working directly with athletes and teams to develop skills in sports performance, athletics, and overall health and wellness.
• Attend training and development opportunities.
• Work with various Sanford Sports teams (Sanford Sports Academy, Sports Performance, Sports Nutrition, Sanford Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Mental Performance).
Qualifications:
• Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science or a similar degree.
• Knowledge of sports performance, strength and conditioning coaching, or training/coaching preferred.
• Previous coaching experience at any level (sports coach, personal training, group training, etc.) is preferred.
