Job Description: Co-Op/Intern
• Summary: Full-time Co-Op/Internship (Fall, Spring, Summer) providing applicable training and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals.
• Ideal Candidate:
• Quickly and proficiently uses real data to evaluate and solve problems.
• Enjoys direct communication with customers and trade partners to clarify questions and concerns.
• Approaches work in a systematic and orderly way.
• Responsibilities:
• Work alongside construction Field Managers to manage the new home build process from start to finish.
• Communicate with trade partners, vendors, and customers on the progress of homes.
• Complete PACE eLearning courses.
• Participate in Sapphire training to gain knowledge in scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service administration.
• Observe home orientations.
• Develop and gain an understanding of new home construction knowledge by completing a variety of job scopes.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, walk on uneven terrain (construction sites, residential properties).
• Effective use of sensory skills (verbal communication) and technology (cellphone).
• Ability to perform movements like bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and grasping.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to endure exposure to various conditions (weather, dust, dirt, fumes).
• Proper use of provided protective gear (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes).
• Regular travel to job sites throughout the day.
