Job Description:

Abbott is seeking high-caliber, innovative students for Co-op assignments within their Medical Devices industry. The focus is on developing transformational pain management technologies, neuromodulation technologies, and catheter-based/surgical treatment solutions for structural heart disease.

Key aspects of the Co-op:

Co-op Duration: Typically a 6- to 8-month, 2 semester, full-time assignment
Location: Abbott sites across the United States
Focus: Students work on projects that align with Abbott’s mission, receiving meaningful work experiences.
Engineering Focus: The majority of Co-ops are in Engineering disciplines:
• Systems Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Biomedical Engineering
Other Areas: Opportunities may exist in other areas, such as:
• Regulatory Affairs
• Biology
• Life Sciences

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in the school year of the assignment and the semester following their assignment.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the 6-month Co-op session.
• Students must be able to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
• Rising juniors or graduate students are preferred.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position is $16.45 – $32.85 per hour, with potential variations based on location.
