Job Description: Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Associate

This is a full-time, temporary position that is open to interns as well.

Position Summary:

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Associate will be a part of the HBS Cloud Architecture Team (CAT) and will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and support of cloud-related services and solutions for HBS clients. This role involves working with clients to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements for the best solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of the CAT team, providing consultative and proactive project support to HBS clients.
• Gain knowledge on various technologies and platforms based on leader’s instructions and customer demands.
• Provide support, maintenance, and administration for customer environments.
• Contribute to the process of assessing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting security technologies and processes, including data protection, cryptography, key management, identity, and access management (IAM) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.
• Participate in cross-education and mentoring of other Heartland interns, engineers, and related personnel.

Required Skills, Education, and Certifications:

• Enrolled in a university majoring in an IT-related field.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.

Preferred Experience:

• At least 3 months of industry experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure solutions:
Azure AD (AAD / Entra ID): Azure AD Connect (AADC), SAML SSO and OpenID Connect (OIDC), Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), Password Protection, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Networking and DNS: Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateways, Traffic Managers, Load Balancers, Private Link, and ExpressRoute.
Storage: Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery
Pricing & Cost Management
• Experience implementing and designing systems-based solutions with a focus on the cloud. (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
• Experience installing and supporting Microsoft enterprise products.
• PowerShell, Python, or other scripting and development background.
• Familiarity or experience with Linux.
• Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
