The TL;DR

• Mission: To cultivate confident clinicians equipped with advanced tools and knowledge to effectively treat complex and stigmatizing diagnoses, thereby significantly improving client outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Specialized Training: Interns are required to complete Brainspotting Phase I training (approximately $400). This foundational training is essential preparation, specifically designed to help interns become significantly more confident in their ability to treat trauma, panic, and other intimidating types of diagnoses.
• Advanced Therapeutic Modalities: Interns will actively learn and integrate aspects of Internal Family Systems and “parts work.” These techniques are taught for direct application with clients, with the goal of improving therapeutic performance and overall client outcomes.
• Outcome Documentation: Practical instruction will be provided on how to thoroughly measure and document client outcomes and progress. This skill ensures that interns can track effectiveness and contribute to evidence-based practice.
• Group Facilitation Experience: Interns will be actively encouraged to connect with one of MindFit’s licensed clinicians. The aim is to formulate and then co-lead a therapeutic group, gaining valuable experience over 10 group hours.
• Professional Empowerment: This internship ensures that participants, upon completion, will possess the comprehensive set of tools and practical experience necessary to confidently make a significant and lasting difference in people’s lives through their clinical practice.

• Background: Entry-Level position. This role is designed for individuals seeking to gain practical clinical experience as an Intern, with an interest in specializing in the confident treatment of stigmatizing diagnoses such as PTSD, trauma, and panic.
• Experience: The internship requires a commitment to take Brainspotting Phase I training (approx. $400) as a prerequisite for developing specialized treatment confidence. No specific prior years of professional experience are detailed, but candidates should be prepared for a focused learning environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability to learn and apply advanced therapeutic techniques like Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and “parts work”; an aptitude for measuring and accurately documenting client outcomes and progress; and the ability to collaborate effectively in co-leading therapeutic groups.
