• Facility: West Patient Building
• Location: Sioux Falls, SD
• Job Title: (Implied) Student Intern / Clinical Assistant
• Shift: Varies
• Schedule: PRN (as needed)
• Weekly Hours: Varies
Summary:
The role contributes to Sanford operations and processes while providing first-hand experience aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The intern collaborates with leadership to enhance knowledge and skills and improve healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Assists in a clinical setting with direct patient care, based on assigned department/team with delegated responsibilities.
• Complies with all patient safety related duties assigned.
• Provides assistance with basic patient health care needs and daily activities within the scope of practice.
• Performs documentation regarding care and services, or other clerical work related to the assigned department.
• Follows sanitation standards and stocks supplies as necessary.
• Assists in the completion of projects and administrative duties delegated.
• Attends training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Must be part of a pre-approved Sanford clinical internship program as a high school student.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry is helpful.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Must obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
