Clinical Applications Intern | Sectra

The Tone:
This is an internship at Sectra, located in Shelton, CT. Sectra builds clinical software that helps hospitals diagnose faster, work more efficiently, and protect sensitive patient data. This role is a front-row seat to how advanced technology bridges the gap between healthcare workflows and patient care. As an intern, you will support the implementation and ongoing use of essential medical software, contributing directly to improvements in patient care and safety.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Support clinical application projects alongside Application Specialists and engineers.
• System Understanding: Investigate and understand system behavior from a clinical user’s perspective.
• Workflow Documentation: Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of clinical workflows.
• Implementation Learning: Learn how clinical software is implemented, trained, and supported in hospital environments.
• Problem Solving: Participate in troubleshooting and workflow discussions related to imaging and clinical use cases.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional pursuing a degree in Health Sciences, Diagnostic Imaging, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in how clinical workflows are supported by software and technology.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, clear communication with technical and clinical teams, and strong organizational skills.
• Bonus: Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a motivation to improve healthcare through better tools and systems.
