Starting Pay Rate: $20-$23 per hour

Position Overview:
This role involves trimming and removing trees, as well as removing unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas.

Job Duties (What You’ll Do):
Learn Tree Climbing: The company provides paid training for tree climbing.
Tree Crew Membership: Operate as a member of a tree crew, continuously learning and progressing in new skills.
Pruning & Removal Services: Learn to safely and skillfully perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services for clients. This includes:
• Tree identification and adherence to industry pruning guidelines.
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Learning to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assisting in the removal of hazardous trees.
Equipment Operation: Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and other necessary gear.

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For):
Required:
• A love for the outdoors.
• Ability to successfully complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to successfully complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Preferred:
• A background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or prior experience working at heights.
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
