This role is for a Client Support Internship or Short Term Assignment, scheduled for the Fall of 2025.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the IT team in providing timely and effective support to the business community regarding daily operations. This involves leveraging the IT Support Ticket system and includes areas like desktop support, application support, printing, and training. The secondary role is to assist with OCE Projects and Initiatives that align with the company’s IT Strategy.

The position requires an onsite presence Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility offered to accommodate university hours.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the installation, configuration, monitoring, and deployment of desktop hardware and software.
• Processing assigned tickets through the IT Ticket System.
• Assisting in investigating and resolving infrastructure issues and escalated support requests.
• Updating software and hardware with the latest patches.
• Providing software applications training.
• Assisting in supporting telecommunications operations.
• Training the business community on applications and IT best practices.

Qualifications for this role are:
Education: Candidates should have completed 1-2 years at an accredited Information Technology program.
Experience: Entry-level up to 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Compensation:
The hourly compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. This range reflects what O’Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes to be accurate at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on numerous factors including geographic location, required skills, candidate experience, complexity of the role, travel requirements, and current market rates. The top of the stated range typically represents exceptional or senior-level candidates who meet all required qualifications. Final offers will take into account the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
