This is an Internship position within Paylocity’s Client Services department.
The Client Services team is responsible for providing diverse support to clients from post-implementation throughout their entire relationship with Paylocity. Their goal is to foster positive client relationships to enhance loyalty and retention, ensuring clients receive timely and accurate answers to questions, problem resolution, and needs fulfillment through a team of dedicated and knowledgeable Account Managers. The department aims to deliver a unique client experience.
This role is 100% in-office and based at Paylocity’s Schaumburg, IL location; remote or hybrid work options are not available. Candidates must commit to working on-site five days per week during designated work hours.
The internship is a structured 12-week program designed to launch early careers. Interns will benefit from award-winning training and one-on-one coaching.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in a structured 12-week program that includes onboarding, mentorship, professional development, and cross-functional exposure.
• Gain hands-on experience by shadowing and reverse shadowing Account Managers and Team Leads, and assisting with real client interactions.
• Develop business acumen and service knowledge through weekly assignments, journals, and engagement with leadership.
• Design and execute a short-term project aligned with Client Services goals, culminating in a presentation of findings and recommendations to managers and executives.
• Build professional skills through workshops, peer networking, and attendance at the Intern Summit hosted at Paylocity’s headquarters.
• Deliver mid-point and final presentations to highlight key learnings, project results, and recommendations.
Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in a college degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
• Anticipated graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027.
• Majors preferred include Business, Marketing, Communications, International Business, Organizational Leadership, Finance, and Accounting.
• A minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong experience with MS Office and MS Excel.
• Prior experience in account management or customer service is required.
